Fees are always a concern when beginning a project. The architectural fee will vary based on many factors. Fees are established in a variety of ways depending on the client’s diverse building situation and the extent and nature of services required. The size and complexity of a project is a major consideration when we evaluate the scope of work involved. No two projects are alike. Every building project has its own unique challenges; therefore, our fee is not based on design work alone. It reflects design, project management, zoning and building code considerations, and construction administration, among other potential contractual responsibilities.
The fee can be structured as a percentage of construction costs, a predetermined fixed fee, an hourly rate, or a combination of these methods. We would be pleased to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of a specific fee basis for your particular project.
