Squamish, BC

The Ashlu Creek Powerhouse is a run-of-river power generation station designed for a remote site near Squamish, BC. The building is a simple steel structure housing two turbine generators. Local river rock, wood slats and naturally rusting corten steel form the exterior surfaces. The sweeping roof and clerestory glazing help to give the building a lighter presence at the site.
