The Main

Engaging public spaces.

This project completed construction in the spring of 2020 and introduces lively commercial frontage and streetscape in a prime downtown location at the corner of Cleveland Ave and Main St.

Commercial retail units are set back from the property line in order to create a generous public interface. Continuous canopies along Cleveland Ave provide shelter from the elements and ample opportunities for patio space and indoor/outdoor retail areas.

Five stories of residential construction include a combination of one-bedroom, two-bedroom and two-bedroom plus den suites. Each unit has its own balcony while most units also include an interior storage room or “flex” space. The building exteriors are articulated as separate volumes in order to divide the length of the building into smaller masses and relate to the scale of a typical city block in downtown Squamish.

The project provides generous common outdoor amenity space for residential use at level 3 facing west towards the laneway. This outdoor area acts as a semi-private park for the enjoyment of residents.
